Mitzvah Day is an annual day of social action created by the Jewish community and supported by all faiths in Borehamwood. This Sunday 21st November 2021, Mitzvah day in Borehamwood focused on 'Climate Change' and two members of our eco-council represented the school on the day through joining the community litter pick in Maxwell Park. The children were commended on their excellent manners and team work with other children.
Prior to Mitzvah Day, our eco-council had also made posters that are currently on display at the Gratitude Hub in Borehamwood and written a poem to encourage action on climate change. This poem was read out by Zaynab at the event along with a speech explaining why she had wanted to take part in the event. We were incredibly proud of how confidently and eloquently she spoke in front of a crowd.
